q-basemedia was commissioned to provide a pre Motor Show party for Mitsubishi at the Birmingham Metropole Hotel. The client required a room with 3 areas; a dinning area, a chill-out area and a virtual reality/games room, all within a single space. Oh, and we would only have eighteen hours to transform the room from the previous days conference!
Our solution was to build a room, within a room; We created three distinctive areas by using false walls and ceilings, different height floors and individually coloured lighting for each area. The guests would first enter the Chill Out room through a long star cloth lined tunnel, emerging from the dark tunnel into a room bathed in subtle light glowing from behind the walls and ceiling. With deep leather sofas and a bar serving our specially design red cocktail complementing the clients corporate colours, this really was the ultimate chill out room. With the virtual reality/games room attached people had the difficult choice of just chilling out or having hours of virtual fun. When it came time for the dinner delegates went through to the Dinning room which also contained a large stage, lighting and sound system for the evening's entertainment.
